History

The sandwich is named after the Earl of Sandwich (18th century), who asked for meat between two slices of bread so he wouldn't have to leave his card game. The chicken sandwich is one of the most popular varieties worldwide.

Ingredients

Toast bread2 slices
Lettuce2 sheets
Tomato1/2 pc
Mayo or mustard1 tbsp

Preparation

1Pan-fry or bake the chicken breast. Slice it.
2Toast the bread in a toaster.
3Spread sauce on the bread.
4Layer lettuce, chicken, and tomato.
5Top with the second slice, cut diagonally.
