History

Crab salad appeared in the USSR in the 1970s when imitation crab sticks became available. Despite the name, there is no real crab — surimi (fish paste) is used instead. One of the simplest and most popular holiday salads.

Ingredients

Crab sticks200g
Canned corn1 can
Boiled eggs4 pc
Fresh cucumber1 pc
Cooked rice100g

Preparation

1Dice the crab sticks, cucumber, and eggs.
2Drain the liquid from the corn.
3Combine all ingredients.
4Dress with mayonnaise and season with salt.
5Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

You can substitute Napa cabbage for rice — the salad will be lighter.
